Artist Series: Keith Haring Part Deux
In honor of my all time favorite artist’s (Keith Haring) would be 54th birthday today, I have decided to do a nail design inspired by one of his sculptures (my absolute favorite piece of his).
The 1985 Acrylic on Paper Mache Untitled (Elephant).
This is the second Keith Haring design I did, click here to see the first.
Hope you all have a wonderful day, & Happy Birthday Keith Haring!!

Who didn’t love the Care Bears growing up? Because I was obsessed when I was a kid. I did this design about two weeks ago and forgot to post them. I just chose the original ten bears and painted their tummy symbols on my nails.
Hope you guys enjoy.

Hey, I love your nail art. ( : I want to know where do you get the nail sets like the one with the hockey designs on it for your friend and like all the other design nail sets? and what polish utensils do you use?
Asked by whitneyrabbit
Thanks so much! I get all of my fake nails from eBay and the drugstore. The nail set that I did the hockey designs on are from the seller shop4femme. I also purchased just plain full cover nail tips from that seller as well. My oval nail tips are by Kiss (Active Oval) and I get those from the drugstore. I also love Nailene’s short square full cover nails.
The only tools I use when doing my nail art are just artist brushes that I got from my local crafts store. You can check out my post on the brushes I use, and I will be doing an updated one shortly. And of course my dotting tool. I also use a lot of acrylic paint when doing my nail art because it dries much quicker than nail polish.
Hope this helps you.

Even though they aren’t doing that great right now, the Boston Red Sox will always be one of my favorite sports teams and one of my favorite summer pastimes. And sinceI did the Bruins nails for my friend, I thought it would be a good idea to do just do all the Boston sports team.
I chose to paint Jason Varitek’s number 33 because even though he retired this year, he is and will always be my favorite baseball player!

I love sports, but hockey is definitely not my favorite. However the Boston Bruins are in the playoffs and my good friend Jillian is a big fan, so this Bruins nail set is for her and all my fellow Bostonians who are just as crazy for the Bruins as she is.

Went out this past Saturday and had no clue what I wanted to do on my nails. Then I was looking at Wah Nails blog and I was ready to hop on a plane and go to London and get a Wah Nails mix match mani.
But then reality set in & I realized I had to do my own damn nails. Inspiration not only came from Wah Nails, but Nails by Regina and Dominique Renee as well.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

I know this post isn’t about nails, but I wanted to take some time out to ask all of you amazing people for a little help. A few years ago, one of my best friend’s grandmother passed away from pancreatic cancer. Since then, every Sunday morning, her family gets together to in honor of her and to keep her presence strong.
Last year I joined them in the Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year we are doing it again and are trying to raise as much money possible to help those who have suffered, survived and passed on from cancer.
So if anyone would like to donate to our cause (no donation is too small), we would greatly appreciate it. Remember all donations are tax exempt, so why not help out a good cause and get a break on your taxes! You can do so by visiting my fundraising page.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Mainly because of all the pretty pastel colors that are associated with it. Anywho, I wanted to do a Easter nail design that was cute, simple & easy for you guys to recreate at home.
For this look, I wanted my nails to resemble Easter eggs, so I used Kiss’ Active Oval Full Cover Nails and just filed the oval to a more pointed oval shape.
Hope you all have a great Easter!

I have been getting a lot of questions regarding the DIY Nail Polish racks that I did last fall. Many of you wanted to know if the foam is durable enough for the nail polishes.
The racks lasted about a few months. But then a few of the shelves fell :(. I made a total of three, and only one has survived without any problems. That was the shelf that held all my misc. nail polishes. The other two held my OPI, China Glaze, Orly and Essie and I think the nail polishes were just too heavy for the foam boards.
So on to Plan B. I went back to YouTube on the hunt for DIY nail polish storage ideas. I found this video by DulceCandy87. It is pretty much the same concept I used for the foam racks, only difference is you use thin wood.
I will be making my DulceCandy inspired nail rack by the end of the month. I’ll do a post when I have completed them. In the meantime, for all of you who would like to do a DIY Nail Polish rack, check out this video.

Did any of you try the foam board racks? How did they hold up?
