Being from the Boston area, I wanted to  do something to help the victims and their families affected by the Marathon Bombings.

I created three different Boston Strong nail sets. I will be selling each one and all proceeds will go to the One Fund Boston.

Definitely was in a Wah mood. Felt like doing another mix & match nail design. My wonderful work study student was nice enough to let me do the design on her nails. Thanks Aura!

Super Mario Bros 3!!

Super Mario Bros 3 is my favorite video game of all time. I remember first playing it and finding out Mario could fly and get a magical whistle that you could use to skip to a different world. My younger self was amazed! It was the SHIT back in the early 90s. 

So of course I wanted to do a nail design to pay homage to Super Mario Bros 3. I have been toying with the idea for over four months, but I thought to myself, “what the hell am I waiting for?!!” 

On my left hand I painted a scene from the first world and my thumb is a scene of going down the pipe. On my right hand I painted the characters Super Mushroom, Luigi, Mario, Princess Toadstool (later known as Princess Peach) and of course a Koopa Troopa (turtle). I attempted to paint King Koopa (a.k.a Bowser) on my thumb, but it just wasn’t happening for some reason. I used Color Club Chateau as the base color and acrylic paint for the rest. It took me a very long time to complete this look, but I’m so glad I finally got around to doing it! I love it!

Due to time restraints this past weekend, I wanted something cute, fun, quick & simple for my nails. This look is inspired by a mani that my little cousin was rocking a couple of months ago that she found online (I’m not sure where she found the pic). 

This is a fun look that can be done with different color combinations and so easy a beginner can do it!

Two new things I bought recently that inspired this look: new rounded long (extremely long) plain tips from the UK and an amazing orange & leopard print clutch I bought when in NYC last week.

I’m loving this look. The only downfall is getting use to having nails this long.

My goddaughter (just one month shy of her 3rd birthday!) and I have a birthday party to attend today, so we made sure her nails were done for the occasion.
