Went to Salon Centric this pass weekend to check out OPI’s spring collection Holland. I wasn’t that crazy about the colors. I like the bright colors like Kiss Me on My Tulips & A Roll in The Hague. But I decided they were too similar to other polishes I have. However I’m still debating on whether to go back & buy A Roll in The Hague (a beautiful bright creme finish orange).

So I only picked up one color from the Holland Collection, Thanks a WindMillion (second from the right). But I did find some other colors that I wanted and thought would be cute for Spring & upcoming St. Patty’s day.

Swatches:

  • A. OPI Need Sunglasses?
  • B. OPI Gargantuan Green Grape (instant fave)
  • C. OPI Thanks a WindMillion (Holland)
  • D. Essie Pretty Edge

Last week and this week has left me with barely anytime to do my nails. So this morning I only had 15 minutes & decided to just do a quick polish (as you can tell by my polish job, it was really quick) using some of my new polishes that I have yet to use.

I wasn’t even going to take a picture of my nails, but this blue is absolutely gorgeous & has replaced my beloved Pacific Blue by Sally Hansen. If you’re looking for a nice blue for spring and the summer, I would definitely recommend OPI No Room for the Blues.

OPI No Room for the Blues and Simmer & Shimmer (Glitter).

It’s no secret that Essie is my favorite nail polish, so I get really excited when they come out with a new collection. I went to the store last weekend and picked up four of the colors from their new spring collection. I absolutely love Navigate Her which is an absolutely gorgeous green. And I wasn’t sure if I was going to like A Crewed Interest, but I think it might replace my favorite nude shade. It is a nice peachy creme. I didn’t bother to pick up To Buy or Not to Buy and Tour de Finance because they are too similar to other polishes I already have.

Swatches:

  • A. A Crewed Interest
  • B. Orange It’s Obvious
  • C. Navigate Her
  • D. Ole Caliente

Finally got my hands on all the shades of China Glaze’s Electropop collection that I wanted. I opted not to buy Fuschia Fanatic & Make Some Noise because I already have so many bright coral colors and hot pink colors. My two favorites from this collection would have to be Aquadelic & Gaga for Green. Aquadelic is very similar to For Audrey, but more on the bright side; whereas For Audrey is more on the pastel side. But all in all I am very happy with this collection.

Swatches:

  • A. Dance Baby
  • B. Sunshine Pop
  • C. Electric Beat
  • D. Sweet Hook
  • E. Aquadelic
  • F. Gaga for Green
  • G. Gothic Lolita
  • H. Techno

It’s no secret that Essie is by far my favorite nail polish brand, so when I saw the Luxeffects Collection available at my local nail supply store I had to pick up some colors. Enjoy the swatches:

Dupe Alert: OPI Rainbow Connection & Confetti Tasmanian Devil

This weekend I went to my local nail supply store and finally got my hands on OPI Rainbow Connection from the Muppet’s Collection. When I went to put it on my nail polish rack, I noticed that I had a suspicously similar polish already sitting there.

Confetti’s Tasmanian Devil is very similar to OPI Rainbow Connection and can definietly pass as a dupe. The only real difference I can notice is that Rainbow Connection is in a clear base while Tasmanian Devil has some shimmer to it.

So if you don’t mind a little shimmer, you can definitely pick up Tasmanian Devil in lieu of Rainbow Connection and save yourself some money. Confetti nail polish is sold at CVS stores for $2.00 as opposed to OPI that sells for $8.00.

Swatches:

  • A. OPI Rainbow Connection
  • B. Confetti Tasmanian Devil

I absolutely have no patience when it comes to letting my nails dry. Once I am done with my nail art, I just want to go.
About a year ago I discovered Seche Vite fast dry top coat and fell in love with how fast it dries and that you can pretty much use it on wet nail polish without it smudging or making colors run together.
In my nail kit for school, they gave us OPI RapiDry Spray; which I also love.
But one day I decided to use the two together, and BAMMM instant dry!!
These two products together are an absolute godsend for a very impatient girl like myself. I highly recommend these two for all the other impatient, prone to smudging girls (and boys) of the world.
